Call your doctor, your stoma likely needs dialated. Do it before you have
trouble drinking liquids.

Shelly, maybe you should check with your doctor and have your stoma checked
out.

I am 13 months post op and had this similar problem. I finally broke down
and went to the doctor. I had some scar tissue that had built up around
the opening to the pouch which had to be stretched. Now I can even swallow
bread, which I had not been able to do so in the past.
Call your doctor and see if he wants to scope you. It was worth it for me!

I went right by my diet but as I started tring to eat my chest pain was
unreal as i swallowed and it usually came back up. I ended up with 3rd
degree burns on esop. from this,so I advise if you start that go back to
the Dr.-In my case they scoped me and said nothing could be done.. So-- I
found a lite ice cream made by flavorite in vanilla and i make ice cream
sodas--i use a little coke. i have found i can eat chips and certain dips
.also can eat water packed tuna sandwich with crunchy cheetos. I think you
just have to try many things and pray a lot .I also have to say that mydr
put me on prilosec and it helped a lot. There has to be some thing for you
to eat . I have found I can eat chicken spaghetti if it is angel hair
spag.. Good luk an God Bless you I hope this helps.---karen
