I also have been having chest pain, I've been to my PCP, and he sent me to
a cardiologist, good news, they don't think it's my heart. We are still
trying to figure out what is goin on. My chest hurts almost all the time,
it's pretty scary. If anyone can help us figure out what is going on, it
would be very helpful. My PCP doesn't even know where to go from here,
hoping some of my AMOS friends do...Thank you.

8/03/01 Have your Doctor check yourn gallbladder I went through three years
of pain before a psychologists had my doctors office check my gallbladder.
she was right.I got scheduled for a surgery immediately. I remember it
feeling as if someone was shoving a knife straight into me.Hope this helps.

I'm three years post-op and I get a pain in my chest periodically.
It comes unexpectedly, is constant, and usually lasts for 2-3 days.
It isn't my gallbladder because they removed that when I had my rny.
They've done all sorts of tests and all the docs are stumped. They
don't know what is causing it. I thought it was just me.......

I am not sure if your problem is the same, however, my father had his gall
bladder removed and it still produced stones somehow and he had to have 2
more surgeries to remove stones after gall bladder removal? Anyway the
pain he had after removal were the same as when his stones were removed
later.

I had my Gall Bladder out in 1986, and to this day I still get the same
pains like a gall bladder attack unprovoked by eating or anything else.I
don't have a gall bladder so whats the problem????Well I talked to a
surgeon and he said that I probably have granules that are getting caught
up in the bile duct and it goes into spasms. It is very uncomfortable and I
can honestly say that I swear I still have a gall bladder. If it continues
I may think of having the duct dilated to relieve the recurrent pain. Right
now it only happens 2-3 X a year at most.I am scheduled for a Lap RNY on
Nov 27th, 2001.
