I had open gallbladder surgery and was able to have my DS surgery done
LAP. Dr.Dennis Smith in marietta, GA did my surgery. He also does RNY's and
is an excellent surgeon.

I had 2 C-sections and an abdominal hysterectomy (all with a long vertical
incision), and a "traditional" gallbladder surgery with a 7"
diagonal incision across my upper abdomen, before my very successful and
uncomplicated lap RNY. The experience and expertise of the surgeon is the
key factor. Good luck!

My lap RNY was my 6th abdominal surgery, everything went great. My surgeon
said everything went routine and I had very minimal pain. My other
surgeries were 2 c-sects, tubal ligation, exploratory, and gall bladder
removal.

I had open gallbladder surgery and open hernia repair, I was able to have
Lap. of course the surgeon who did both operations was the assisting
surgeon so maybe he knew where to enter at?

I had my gall-bladder removed by LAP surgery and have been told that it
should not cause any problems for me to have WLS LAP
