Question:
Are angels required to visit in the hospital?
I am in the pre-op stages, having not yet had my first surgical consultation. I love reading the angel reports but they have me wondering this: I am a very private person and as much as I would love to have an angel when the time comes, would it be rude for me to request that they NOT visit me in the hospital? I'm a very private person and would be uncomfortable with anyone besides my immediate family visiting me. — [Anonymous] (posted on July 3, 2001)

My angel came to the hospital twice and I was glad to see her (we hadn't
met before). But, I'm sure if I had told her that I prefer she not come to
the hospital, she would have honored my wishes.

I've been an Angel for over fifty times now. I get such incredible
pleasure getting to meet all the terrific folks through WLS. I travel all
over Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties.
However, I have had two people who would rather not have a hospital visit.
I sent emails for any questions/answers, etc. I'm sure your Angel would
understand.

Hi. I have been an angel twice. I would have been happy to visit both in
the hospital. The first friend I did. But I knew her better and she's
very outgoing and liked visitors. The second person was more private. She
requested that I phone her while she was in the hospital. That was fine
with me. That's why you have an angel...is to help YOU and to make YOU
comfortable. Don't feel bad about requesting no visitors. That's your
choice. I don't think anyone would take offense at that. Good Luck with
your surgery!
