You are doing fine! I had surgery 12/28/00 and have lost 70 lbs. I lost 10
lbs. a month after the initial 22 lb. loss in the two weeks after surgery.
I have slowed to 7 lbs. a month loss and have been told this is a healthier
rate at which to lose. As long as you aren't gaining, have faith that the
weight will continue to come off.

Please don't become discouraged. You are right on track!!! You should be
losing AROUND 20 pounds per month the first few months....(that seems to be
average for everyone), and it depends on your body, what you are eating,
how much excercise, how much water you are drinking...you are right on
schedule. You will encounter plateaus, it is totally normal, and we have
all had them. We have all felt as though we would not lose any more
weight, and then suddenly more weight comes off!!!Please be patient and
allow your body the time it needs to adjust to the weight coming off and
and your new way of eating and such. It takes time to get there! I had
surgery on 06/06/2000, I have lost 150 lbs.. I know the frustration and
worry you are experiencing. Just keep doing what you are doing!!! You are
doing great!!!

First I want to tell you that what you are feeling is NORMAL! I posted
something quite similar at a couple of months out. I was very disturbed
that I wasnt feeling sick anymore when I ate, and that I wasnt filling up
on two tablespoons. Bottom line is you are healing! Your new tummy is
allowing you to eat more because you are feeling better. Now is the time
to make sure that you make good choices, and drink all your water. And
please dont beat yourself up like I do. A call to my nutritionist helped a
lot. Maybe that would put your mind to ease. Also, it would help to know
exactly what you are eating. Good luck.
