Question:
Post Op..do we need a doctor? Mine is always busy.
I have only seen him once since the surgery in Feb. Already 2 broken appts. Good thing I am doing well. — Nancy Z. (posted on May 21, 2001)

It's very important to stay current on your bloodwork. Iron and vitamin
levels should be monitored by three months out. If your surgeon cannot do
it, you can ask for Primary care doctor to prescribe the bloodwork. Your
surgeon sounds extremely unprofessional.

YES. But your PCP can maybe take it from here. We have 8 elements on our
labs that need to be checked. Preferably every 3 months for 2 yrs, then
every 6 for life. I can send you the list of labs, if you need something
to hand your doc.
