Question:
Sometimes I really feel I never had surgury ..
Am I the only one that sometimes I wonder if I have ever had surgury at all - ? I feel great - I have not lost a ton of weight but as expected by my doctor - I would love to lose more - I still eat soft foods with some fruit and veggies - Is salad okay at 2 months post op ? — [Anonymous] (posted on May 14, 2001)

I'm also losing slowly. Doctor said that's OK, as long as there's no gain.
I am eight weeks post op and can eat salad well. Actually, it's the only
way to help move things along, if you know what I mean. The doctor said to
try new things in tiny amounts, and if I have no problems, go with it. The
only things he forbids at this point are coconut (never again) and bread,
due to it balling up and not passing. Just trust your body. If you have
pain, nausea, or whatever after trying something, you'll not go back to it!

I lost, as normal, a large amount the first 3 weeks, then very little until
week 9. Then, wow!!! The scale started moving. . .each day for the last 14
days I have lost 3/4 lb. per day and have not changed my eating habits at
all. . .never exceeding 1000 cal./day. I am lovin' it, but know that soon
it will slow down again. So hang in there, it will probably pick up.
