Required tests

Teresa, Each doctor requires different things from each patient depending
upon medical history. Also, insurers often require their own pre-op
testing. Almost all doctors and insurance companies require blood work and
a psych evaluation. My doctor also requires an endoscopy. My step father
(Post op 10/00) had to be cleared by a pulmonologist and have a sleep apnea
test. So, each one of us is different.

Jeanne is right - it depends on one's condition. But for an idea ... I am
having a pulmonary function test, the chemical equivalent of a treadmill
stress test, an ekg, an abdominal ultrasound, and some blood work. Sounds
like a really "fun" day, doesn't it?
