Question:
First 3 weeks liquids
I am not having any problems as described. Is my pouch stretched do you think? I am just 1 week post op. I drink more than nes=cessary and just realized it looking at some charts. Worried here. — Nancy Z. (posted on March 1, 2001)

Good for you if you can drink all + more than required.
The liquid passes through the pouch. So I wouldn't worry
but call your Dr. and ask that might make you feel more
at ease :) Take care and best of luck to you....

I felt the same way when I was a new post-op. I never really felt full. I
thought surely I've stretched my stomach out -- I called the clinic and
they said the liquid goes right through and that's why you don't feel full,
but you will when you start eating solids. I just KNEW the doctor didn't do
my surgery, or didn't get my pouch small enough. As I said, you will notice
when you start eating solids. Don't worry ... I think we all go through
this panic stage of thinking we've stretched our stomach out before we even
get started good.
