Question:
I'm 5'4

I was wondering what kind of weight loss I could expect. I'm very active now, and I'm sure once I have the surgery, I will become even more active. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!    — Nickie L. (posted on January 30, 2001)

Nickie, I am also 5'4", I was 302lbs post-op and now 18mths later I weigh 150lbs!!! I know according to the government guidelines I shoulw weigh like 133lbs but will be happy if after my tummy tuck I hit 140lbs. Since you are very active my personal opinion is that you should lose at least 150lbs if not more. Good luck!

Nikki, I'm 5'4", staring weight was 228.5. I had open RNY on 1/13/00( 1 year ago). I am at goal at 128 losing 100 pounds. I wear a size 6. Everyone's loss is different but you active lifestyle will greatly impact your success at getting to goal. Check my profile out. Lou Ann
