Hi Lesah. The very same thing happened to me. The endoscopic procedure
that will probably be suggested to you is a breeze! I preregistered at the
hospital on a Friday, went to the hospital at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and was
out of there by 4:00 p.m. The doctor will put you to sleep, put the
endoscope down your throat, open the balloon-like device to clear the
obstruction, and then take the endoscope out. It really wasn't bad at all!
Most of the time is spent making sure you come out of the knock-out shot
okay. The procedure itself only takes 30 minutes. Believe me, you have
nothing to worry about. And you'll feel sooooo much better after you have
it done. I was feeling fine that afternoon. Hope all goes well!

Hi, I had one done yesterday. It wasnt bad at all. They ask you some
medical history questions, put in a IV, hook you up to a few monitors, then
give you a couple of meds through the IV then its dooze off city for
you.... When you "wake up", they will monitor you for a bit. You
might have a slight sore throat for a day or two. Nothing too bad though.
You'll need to have someone go with you who can drive you home. You'll
probably be sleepy for most of the rest of the day. Hope that helps some.
