Question:
Can someone tell me the percentage of people who die from WLS?

From everything that I've read the mortality rate seems to be
small...certainly no more than the risks involved with any surgery, .02%

Far fewer than those who die from the effects of morbid obesity.

You can ask your surgeon what his death rate is among his patients. Some
surgeons accept high-risk patinets, and some don't, so thier answers will
vary. My surgeon said the average is .2%, or 2 of every thousand patients.
Your health condition before surgery has a big effect on your risk.
