How do I know If I need a referal?

I have made an appointment with a surgeon for an initial consultation. How do I know if I need a referal? I would like to know before I get there and find that I should have taken care of this sooner.    — Blain B. (posted on November 13, 2000)

Call Your insurance company. They will tell you. If you don't want to talk with them, call your physicans office they will also give you that information. Check your insurance handbook, that should be in there to. Good Luck :)
