Question:
how long does it take for a leak to heal itself?

From your description, it sounds like you must have a leak leading from
your small pouch into the larger lower stomach. This is not as serious as
it would be if it was a leak out of the pouch into the abdominal cavity. I
say just follow your doctors orders, and make sure to call if you get a
fever or any signs of illness. Good Luck!

Did you form a fistula and it's leaking outside the incision? My husband
had a leak at the stoma, was reopened on Day 5 and did fine. But you are
saying you did that, leaked, got fixed, and are leaking again? I would
assume that if you have pain or fever that you have already called or gone
back to ER?

Hi, i read your post and it sounds very strange to me. My friend had a
leak
and it almost took her life, she had to go back in the hospital for 4
weeks
high doses of antibiotics and is being fed through a feeding tube, she had
2 addtional blue dye test and she still has a small leak but
it is healing. She has had nothing to eat or drink since 9/16,
I must be confused about where the leak is and that a nurse
can see it in the kool-aid?????Get a second opinion. A leak
is very serious........
