Question:
Are there any others wheelchair bound, or otherwise unable to get proper exercise?
I am concerned how my disability and inability to get proper exercise will affect weight loss after WLS. I am post-polio, and have generalized arthritis. I cannot swim so water aerobics is out, as is walking. Any others out there with limitations? I would love to hear how you did. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks for any advice! — Beverly A. Because I am so very arthritic and so prone to migraine and nausea, I did
not do any "organized" exercise. I'm a busy person and not a
couch potato, so I get around, but I don't do repetitive exercise. I have
Raynaud's, so as much as I love swimming, the local pools are too cold for
me. I have used my particular type of surgery and post-op nutrition plan
to maintain my goal wt for many years now.

About pools being too cold...I go to our local YMCA and we have a heated
pool and a regular pool.
