Question:
Another version of the water question
I know water is crucial to this whole thing, both for weightloss and general health but my question is....is it possible to stetch the pouch with too much water at one time? And if you stertch the pouch with anything, can it shrink back or are you stuck with it forever? — S S. (posted on July 8, 2000)

Yes, you can stretch the pouch with anything, be it a "good
thing" or a bad thing. How permanent is a "stretch"? If you
do it several times a day, it's pretty permanent. If you drink too much
once on a hot day, you may hurt for a moment (go lie on your left
side---NOW!), but it shouldn't do any permanent damage. If you drink too
much once a week, because you forget, you may stretch it a tiny bit over
time. You can somewhat reset it, seems like, if you go back to your 1 oz
portions several hours apart for a few days. If we get to grazing, that can
do far more damage. Eat several small meals, but get empty in between,
don't graze. Same thing with drinking. If you feel the stretch, stop, wait
and don't do it again. Just slow down.
