Question:
I was wondering what the heck you eat after surgery?
Hello! I was wondering what the heck you eat after surgery? Today I bought sugar free instant carnation breakfast, chicken brooth, and low fat juice. What else can I eat in the "liquid" catagory? What about the solids? Please help!!! Thanks everyone!!!!! Kristin — MissAuntieK (posted on May 12, 2000)

Might wanna add V-8. It's a great source of nutrition and a good
alternative to the watered down fruit juices you'll be allowed. Also,
Victoria Bown has a WONDERFUL guide to post - op eating and recipies on her
web site. Look her up on the site under members!

Try jello, strained vegatable soup (my favorite!), strained chicken soup,
Tropicana fruit ice bars (pretty low cal), ice water, get the rubbermaid
ice pop makers and freeze different juices into ice pops, tea (different
flavors), sugar free apple cider, sugar free hot cocoa, and in the
semi-solid category, sugar free/Fat free pudding and fat free cool whip.
Have fun with it...I really didn't mind this stage, it didn't need a lot of
thought or planning.
