Question:
Anyone into essential oils and/or aromatherapy?
I am not really a devout aromatherapy or essential oil user, but I do like to use the oils occassionally. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone has used any of the oils in their healing process. I think that there are numerous "calming" blends for relaxation, "invigorating" blends to energize, etc. I also wonder about topical use of lavendar or another essential oil for the incision. If anyone knows about this stuff, advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks bunchs! Lori :) — Lori B. (posted on April 7, 2000)

HI, I'M A MASSAGE THERAPIST & I USE LAVENDER FOR HEADACHES AND RELAXING
MASSAGE. I ASSOCIATE LAVENDER WITH REIKI HEALING. GO TO YOUR NEAREST HEATH
FOOD STORE AND THEY USUALLY HAVE VERY INEXPENSIVE BOOKLETS WITH BASIC INFO.
GOOD LUCK!!

Lori, I've never used any essential oils, but I can tell you that
(aromatherapy) bath salts have done wonders for my dry skin, which got much
drier after surgery.

i use lavender and peppermint for pain and healing of some things, but in
my experience , i think the lavender would dry out the incisions too much,
this is just my opinion, mabie someone with more knowlage will answer you
,good luck.
