Question:
How long is recovery for the surgery and what all needs to be done afterwards?

Hey Jessica: I had LAP Proximal RNY and was in the hospital very early on a Wednesday and was released on Thursday at noon. I took it easy at home about 2 weeks, but definately could do necessary household chores. I waited to drive for about 1 1/2 weeks. I am a stay at home mom, so I could rest when I needed to. I still give myself a 20 min. nap almost daily. Good luck.
