Question:
Any Post-Op's have Gastrascopy surgery yet?

Hi... Because of my inability to keep most any type of food down, I'm being scheduled for a gastrascopy surgery sometime this week. The upper GI that I had 3 weeks ago showed no leaks & not strictures. I had surgery on 12-01-99 and the past month has been really rough. I've heard of an endoscopic surgery; but, not the procedure their lining out for me. The only info I have is that it will be outpatient, I'll be under and I have to bring someone to drive me home. I had EGD done after the surgery because ofvomiting. This is esophagogastroduodenoscopy. They inserted a tube with a scope down my throat into my stomach. They found esophagitis and a stricture. They opened the stricture with a baloon. It was not a difficult procedure and I felt much better afterwords and was able to eat more food.
