Question:
Hernia Location?

I've had three C-secs, after the last one the OB/Gyn told me that he had done the incision thru my previous two scars and "lifted" it up (it's horizontal). So now i have this really tight scar and the panus/apron kind of hangs over it. The scar is where i get rashes the worst and it had some smaller bulging areas that "ache" it's not sharp pain but it's always feels sore like from the inside. My question is: Can you get really low horizontal hernias? I always thought that hernias were in higher vertical incision scars? Any ideas??    — [Anonymous] (posted on November 7, 1999)

you can get hernias through any incision, though they are more common thru vertical ones.
