Question:
How many grams of protein can we absorb in one serving?
I am confused because I have read don't take in more than 15g in a sitting and also 30grams. I don't want to waist it. Does anyone know the answer? Thanks. — Dot W. (posted on November 3, 1999)

My doctor states between 30-35 grams of protein per serving. I take the
designer protein which is 17.5 and double it so I am getting 35 grams per
serving. It also depends upon whether you are a proximal, medial or
distal. If you are a proximal then you can absorb more than a distal can.
My doctor also recommends 120 grams of protein a day for me and I am a
medial. 150 grams for a distal. And I believe its a 100 grams for a
proximal.
