what is the normal waiting time to get a answer from ins

mine took three weeks however i have been told it could take up to six months.

Mine took about a month and a half to get approval. Best wishes to you!!! Have patience and it will happen! My surgery is Wednesday! WOO-WHO!!!!!

Mine took just under two weeks. I had all of my requirements to turn in when I submitted mine through my surgeons office. I have BCBS/FL

The companies have a "review period" that they are supposed to honor. It varies amongst the plans, but if you are being delayed you HR person at work or plan administrator or even INS agent should be able to get you the time they have to review and decide on your case. www.drlomonaco.com under "patient resources" has insurance tips for getting plastic surgery covered, and some it applies to the WLS too.
