Question:
Help with Message Board / e mailing members

I love to read the posts and make comments, but I am never able to email anyone and I don't know why. I specifically tried to email Linda B today to respond to her good post regarding weight gain, but I never get the email address and my computer just ignores the command. I tried to email myself just for the heck of it, and it did the same thing. Am I doing something wrong? Is my computer set up incorrectly to not allow this? Do you have a pop-up blocker on? This would most likely stop you from being able to email, because a little box pops up for you to type in to send the email.

I do not think that the pop up blocker is the answer because I have that and I can email other members. There is something else causing your problem. How are you trying to e-mail the other member? Are you going into their profile and then clicking the link in their profile that says "email me"? When you do that it will bring up the box where you type your message. I will email you and see if you get my message. The site is having server problems right now, it may take a little time to get to you.

I tried to email you but it seems that you have "your" email turned off on your profile page. You need to go in and turn it on. I think that is why you are having the problems emailing others. If this isn't the problem then you need to contact tech help on this site.

Missy: This may sound like a crazy question, but it happened to me. Do you have a service provider email account set up, like with AOL or Yahoo? When I dropped my AOL account, I could still use the internet through my high speed cable set up, but I could no longer email people on OH via their links because I had never bothered to establish an optonline email account. The message form would pop up, but there was no button for "send"! Hope this helps! Beth
