Question:
Has anyone had problems when gas was pumped into the stomach during lap BPS?
While performing lap bypass surgery they expand your stomach with gas. During this process they lay you on your back. Everytime the gas was pumped into my stomach my vitals would drop & there was no air getting into my lungs so surgery stopped. Too many risks involved. Has anyone else had this problem? He wants me to visit their pulmonary specialist to rule out, if any, lung/breathing problems. I did pass the pulmonary tests. Because my stomach is so large, my PCP thinks that contributed to this problem, not my lungs. He's my PCP as well as a pulmonary specialist for well over 20 yrs. — Christine B.
