Question:
Could you please share your experiences with revisions
I had my surgery 3/04 and have lost 200 lbs since then. I started at 478 and am down to 277 now. I have an appointment to discuss a revision on MOnday, but wanted to here some of your thoughts on whether this is a good idea, please share your experiences if you have had a revision, especiallly anyone who started out around my same size. I would greatly appreciate the help. — shellyjoel (posted on July 17, 2005)

I hate to bore my fellow long-term post-ops by always posting this response
when questions about revisions pop up, but AMOS really isn't the best place
to find people sharing information and experiences about revisions. You
should instead check out these Yahoo groups:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/OSSG-Revision/
and its successor,
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/WLSrevisionsupport
There is also a group for people seeking conversion to the duodenal switch.
Its address is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DS_Revision
The group for post-ops at least a year out also contains plenty of talk of
revisions. Its address is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG
And for people who started out at over 400 pounds, a good source of support
is http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/WLS400plus/
Best of luck to you.
