OK, you know the stoma? The OUTLET from the pouch where the intestine
attaches TO the pouch? OK, make puckered up lips. Look in the mirror.
Now, make the opening about as big as a nickel. Still got it? HOLD that
position. Now, put your finger in the opening. Wherever your finger is
touching, THAT is the "margin" of where the intestine has been
attached to the pouch. The stoma or anastamosis. We will call it a stoma.
2mm would not allow a pencile to pass thru that opening. It has puckered
itself nearly shut. When it's the size of a dine, it's about 10mm. A nickel
is about 12mm. Roughly. 2mm is barely open at all. I'm guessing even
saliva has trouble passing? So, have they tried to dilate you? If they
were in there with a scope, did they dilate at the time? Simple procedure
done at the same time, takes about 5 min longer. they insert a balloon and
open the stoma gradually. The one I observed, he opened it, waited, went
back, tested, reopened to slightly larger, waited, looked around and the
only difference to HER was: no vomiting. Never felt a thing.

After looking at your profile, I'm wondering if you should consult with
another surgeon. I don't think what you have going on is normal based on
research I've done. (Can't speak from experience - I'm preop, but I've
done research!)
