Question:
Has anyone experienced an odor after having a hernia repair/tt?

I had a hernia repair/tt on May 3, 2005. I was sent home with three jp tubes (drain tubes) I have notice an odor coming from the area that the tubes are in. I constantly wash and shower but the area still has an odor and is very painful too. Has anyone else has this experience with drain tubes after surgery? I will be going to the Dr.'s tommorrow for my first check up I will be asking him if this is normal or do I have an infection? I would appreciate any feedback.    — jimnetta N. YES...this is probably an infection!!! See your doc immediately!! Carmen
