Anyone know an endocrinologist in illinois that accepts medicaid

26 months post op and I was just diagnosed with a two tumors in my brain...one on the pituitary. I have been unable to work or drive for 2 months. I am told that I need to see an endocrinologist....I am having trouble finding one that takes a medical card...I live in the peoria area ,but I will travel if needed.    — hooterzgirl75 (posted on April 2, 2005)

I am so sorry to hear that you are going through all that you are right now. Have you called medicaid to ask if they have a list of doctors? I am not exactly sure how medicaid all works. How about calling your local hospitals they should have a list of doctors that can practice out of their hospitals, then you should get a booklet with names, addresses and phone numbers. Then you can start making some calls. Gook luck.
