I went to ps last week and the tummy tuck is 4800.00 plus 1000.00 for lipo
if needed. I will be getting the belt lipectomy and it is gonna be
6750.00. Two days in the hospital.

My doctor's charge was $4200 and it took approximately 2 1/2 hours to do
the surgery (hip to hip incision with muscle tightening). I could have
went back to work at 2 weeks but instead took an extra week off. It took
the full 6 weeks to recover completely.

I'm not entirely sure about the cost of the surgery but I do have some
information that may be helpful. My mother was able to have insurance pay
for her surgery because she was getting yeast infections under the excess
flap of skin that was causing her to see a doctor regularly for treatment.
The surgeon had to apply for the approval but it did go through. She also
told me that the pain that she experienced post-op was significantly
greater than the actual surgery. And she didn't have the laproscope
surgery, she was cut wide open for her Gastro-Bypass. Just be prepared for
the pain.

I just saw a report about plastic surgery on one of the news shows last
week. They said the national average for abdominoplasty is $6000. Hope
this helps.

I think the cost depends upon where you live. I am in California and
abdominoplasty costs $8700. and that includes all labs and follow up with
an outpatient hospital stay. I had my tummy tuck for the front of me paid
by my insurance so I had to pay for the back side....I had a lower body
lift. I ended up paying about $11,000 dollars with all my copays too...not
bad. My recovery was long.......a good two and a half months before I felt
human. My girlfriend who just had a TT was just fine in about 3 weeks.
Hope the info helps. Wendi

I had breast reduction and abdominalplasty. The combined surgery was 6 1/2
hours.
The cost would have been $25K but insurance covered all but $4K. I had
contacted private plastic surgerns and reveived costs at anywhere between
$20K and $28K for both.
I had no pain with the breastreduction but the abdonminalplasty I could not
stand up straight for about ten days so my back really hurt. It took a good
six weeks before I felt normal again.

The national averages can be found at

The hopsital costs can vary depending on the time and if you stay
overnight. Generally, surgery in an outpatient center or office is less
than in a hospital. Anesthesia performed by a CRNA (nurse anesthetist) is
less than a medical doctor. ANYBODY considering the larger abdominal
procedures needs to read
