Question:
Need proof of weight for the past five years.
I have Aetna insurance and they require proof that you have been overweight for the past five years. I have documentation previous to five years ago and for the past three years - but no documentation for the first two of the past five years. Any ideas on what I can do?? — caren1957 (posted on March 3, 2005)

Submit what you have. Logically if you were overweight 6 years ago and
then also for the last 3 it is a pretty good assumption that you were
overweight for the 2 years in between. If they deny it, fight. Do you
have any pictures during that time, that would prove your size?

I also had Aetna. I did a picture history to go along with written proof.
You may want to try it.

Did you have any visits to a doctor or emergency room in those 2 years? My
doctor's office weighs me with every visit--regardless of the reason for
the visit. Most emergency rooms want to document a weight. Look for
pictures with dates imprinted on them or any dates, otherwise they can
question when photos were taken. Good luck.

I used some weight watchers reciepts and doctors records i also did picture
timeline. I just wrote the dates or year on the back of the pic. I also
wrote a timeline of when i tried atkins, dr. phil, bob greene, southbeach
and the list goes on
