Question:
9 Months Out - Having morning nauseau - any one else?
My friend is 9 months post-op gastric bypass and has been getting nausea in the morning after eating. She never had a problem eating anything in the past. Sometime, she will get nauseous at other times but it's usually in the morning. I am 1 1/2 years out and haven't had that experience. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am 2 months out of surgery and I also get sick in the morning alot. I
have found that if I just wait for awhile before eating or drinking
anything it helps. If I eat or drink when I first get up I will usually get
sick. I know I am not pregnant (hysterectomy). I hope this helps some. Kim

At nearly 3 years post-op lap RNY, I still have morning nausea. If I get up
at 5:00 am, I don't eat anything until about 11:00 (unless I want to see it
again). I do a latte around 7, and a protein shake at 8:30 and it is not so
bad.

Many people have mucus build up at night. Especially if they have some post
nasal drip or allergies. Then the opening is plugged causing nausea. Drink
some hot tea to break it up and/or take a decongestant at night to prevent.
