Question:
I swallowed gum... in pain

I know... I know... I'm not supposed to chew gum. But I did and I accidently swallowed it. This was yesterday morning. The pain started within a couple hours and is not getting any better. Is there anything that will help this pass through, or should I go to the hospital?    — angela R. (posted on January 19, 2005)

Ummm Angela definately call your doctor. My doctor warned me about chewing gum for that reason. He told me has had to do numerous procedures to get gum up from clogging to your intestines. Definately call your doctor though. Let me know what happens.

Call your Dr asap. Anytime there's pain that doesn't get better or gets worse you should call the Dr. Good Luck to you.
