Question:
Has anyone used cotting gels if so what were your resuilts?
Ok..I'm gonna be one of thosea lifetime students majoring in Belly Bulge 101. SIGH! A close friend and exercise buff (non wls) suggested cutting gels... or trying one of the TV aids like Relacore or Cortislim * which are suppose to help with the losing of weight carried in the belly. Now I do know of one friend wls who used the pills and felt her tummy went down quicker due to the pills..but I want some feedback from others Post Ops or emails... A tummy tuck is not financially possible for me so I am seriously searching for any assistance.. Thanks — TerryS (posted on January 6, 2005)

I don't know if I would trust a product on those TV ads. Do you have any
skin problems in the tummy area from too much skin or tummy hanging over?
I think some insurance companies will cover a TT in those cases.

I don't know anything about the "cutting gels" but I do know
about the skin after severe weight loss. If you have been overweight for
any length of time and the skin has been stretched, it is much like a
rubber band stretched beyond its limit. After the rubber band is removed,
it doesn't go back to its original shape or size. The skin loses much of
its elasticity (this happens naturally with age, too). Nothing short of
surgery will make the skin flat and smooth and tight to the body. The
muscles can be firm and tight, but the skin will still hang loose!
