Question:
HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE A BOWEL BLOCKAGE

Hi, for me it started with a pain in my upper abdomen, it hurt no matter
what I did. The pain gradually increased, then I couldn't eat anything,
could not have a bowel movement, and finally my belly became very swollen,
and hard. I started vomiting and the pain became excruciating. It took a
full week for it to fully manifest itself to the vomiting and unbearable
pain. A flap of scar tissue had become wrapped around my intestine and was
strangling it, surgery fixed it, and thankfully my surgeon didn't have to
resect the bowel. It was down very low so no idea why the pain was up
higher in the abdomen. Pain and vomiting are probably two of the more
common symptoms along with swelling in the abdomen. Hope all goes OK for
you and that you don't have a bowel obstruction!
