I like the cream better. I use it on my stomach, neck, face and arms. I was 329 lbs so that is a lot of skin to cover. I found I can buy two for one at a cost of 3.69 (?). It's is a white jar call vit-E. It's a small price to pay for the benefits you get. My skin looks great! I'm down to 138 and I have no hanging skin under my chin (generics has someting to do with it) but I think the cream, drinking a lot of water and exercise really helps.

I used all kinds of stuff and none of it helped, I think there are many things that determine if you will have excess skin. How long you have been obese, where you carried most of it etc. I am only 31 and I have a TON of skin EVERYWHERE. The lotions and such are still good for your skin, but I say don't go crazy spending money on it. Just my opinion though....:)

The lotion or cream is good for the scar tissue. That is why I use it. It is just a plus that it has helped with the other places. Yes... I still have excess skin (a lot of it) having a butt and thigh lift soon. The lotion should be used for the incision but it also helps in other areas. I have been overweight since my late teens and I'm currently 45.

when I had PS the doctor suggested Vitamin E or maderma. I went to the health store and they had "Vitamin E" oil! The woman there said her grandson used it and it worked great. The OIL is very inexpensive....

I didn't bother with vitamin E as a post-op. When my son was 2, he fell and split his head open ending up with a 1" scar on his forehead. I used vitamin E oil on it twice a day for 9 months and the scar is still visible 10 years later. My surgeon doesn't seem to think mederma or any of the other stuff being sold works well or is worth the money either. I was at a post-op TT visit last week, and my PS said that when I am fully healed, he wants me to come in so he can laser my scar. He said it would make it both softer/flexible and much lighter. I am skeptical of this being successful, too, but may give it a try.
