I had a hernia repair and TT - My back hurt some - not alot; I contributed
it to 1) having to sleep on my back and 2) when the excess is removed from
down below (I had yet to get my Breast done - this caused a out of balance
in my body; I couldnt even drive a MILE without pain.. Doc said it was
because I was unbalanced this back pain was from my TT NOT the hernia
repair.
BUT as far as the hernia goes - after PAIN was more than my wls. I seemed
to hurt 'more' too longer to feel n ormal than before... and I also ended
up with 'pain' that from what I could tell is called phampton hernia pain.
I would 'hurt' for a while.. The hernia is repair and they dont really know
why it hurts.. I even went to my PCP. back hurt too thought maybe
kidneys.. No was just the 'hernia' THANKFUL it all eventually went
alway... good luck. I know it sucks right now as far as the 'pain' BUT the
operation itsel - YOUR going to love

Hello,
If your pain is muscular in nature you could ask for
Flexeril. I had several severely pulled muscles after my surgery and the
loritab did nothing to help. A friend of mine, who's also in Nursing school
suggested asking for flexeril and it worked like magic. It works by
relaxing the muscle, allowing for semi-normal activity. I took this
medicine in conjunction with the loritab (10-750) tablets for pain
management. Consult your Surgeon/Pcp to see if this could be right for
you.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery,
