Question:
Antibiotics and Vitamins?

I am on antibiotics and was wondering how far apart I would need to space my meds and vitamins with eachother? Does it matter if I take my vitamins with the antibiotics or should I wait an hour or more because it could ruin the affect of the medication?    — Vel K. (posted on July 8, 2004)

I'm on a suppressive antibiotic and I take it in the evening with my evening meal. Doctor didn't say anything about not taking it with vitamins and he knew what I took. I'll be interested in responses from others.

Write down your vites/minerals (type and dose) in one column, your meds in another & take it to the pharmacist. NO ONE knows that kinda stuff better than them. What is not in their head is in a program. You COULD look it up online, but then you'd miss out on any anecdotal info they might have locked in their heads. I think pharms have saved my life a coupla times by seeing stuff the docs missed. They are more than pill counters.
