Question:
Looking for advise liquid diet
I'm a year post op, I have gone from 332 to 165. I still have some more weight that I would like to loose and have been stuck at 165 for over a month now. Do you think its ok to go back to full liquids for 3-6 wks? To really get things going. Thanks — luckyflowers (posted on July 6, 2004)

I think it should be okay. I am 11 months out and still veryu nauseous. I
have gone to all liquids but one meal of solids or semi solids. It got me
moving again after 5 months of not losing. Yea!!! Good Luck

I frequently stick to a full liquid diet as a lot of food disagree with me
(I can hear my stomach now, from an adventure with a couple bites of a
low-carb wrap from Subway last night, and I am nearly 2 1/5 years post op).

For me, the liquid diet doesn't necessarily increase my
weight loss. Just ends my tummy troubles. A lot of people go back to the
basics (protein drinks and water first, then veggies, etc.) if they are
hitting plateaus. Follow the Pouch Rules for Dummies. Also, consider having
your resting metabolic rate checked to make sure youare eating the
appropriate amount of calories for the activity you are getting in daily.

I started at 319 and got down to 156. My weight stays around 162-165.
Personally I'd be afraid to go on a liquid diet. The reason being as I did
tons of diets, AND FASTING pre op. That slowed my metabolism down so that
only WLS could help. What happens now should I go on a liquid diet or fast?
It is already slowed down because of pre op dieting and wls. I've got
nothing else to turn too. Personly I would'nt chance another extreme diet
to lose weight to slow it down more. But to each his own.
