Absolutly on the protein uptake, and also water! Are you watching your carbs, and getting excersize?

First, going from 348 to 219 in NOT being a failure. I'm sorry that you havent reached your goal to date. But, having the attitude that you've failed after loosing 129 lbs is NOT going to help you loose more. PLEASe take a few minutes to pay yourself some respect for the success you've had to date. Then, take a few minutes to re-dedicate yourself to getting back to basics to get yourself loosing again. I am a firm believer in getting professional help, so GO GET SOME where you need it, psychological, support or nutritional...the resources are there for you. You just have to use them. You still have your tool. You know HOW to loose with it, you just need to make the mental transition from FAILURE to ONGOING SUCCESS STORY. Good luck to you.

Are you still attending group meetings? I'm 14 mos out and am fighting the urges big time. But I find that going to support meetings helps me be accountable. I'd be embarassed to have to see those others if I gained. Having been a member of Weight Watchers a good part of my adult life, I'm used to the support and if I feel that I am really going out of control, I will rejoin there. I have a sister who had RNY about 6 years ago who I saw for the first time in over a year last week. She had told me she had gained, but she had regained more than half of what she had lost. She was honest and admitted that she is addicted to carbs. I only pray every day that I make my tool work and use any help I can get (physically and psychologically). Good luck. We're all there with you.

Just go back to the basics, we all know by now what to do to lose, I do believe that we will always have to stay focus and diet at times in order to maintain our wt. some think we will be normal when we get to goal. but I do believe we will never be normal when it comes to our wt and how to keep it. hang in there and even if you did have the $$$$ for wls agin, it's not the answer this time. Hang in there and stay focused.

It's always helpful to re-read the pouch rules when you're having problems. There's a story of a woman who gained all her weight back, but when she went back to the rules, she lost it ALL again! You still have your tool. If you can stick to protein and veggies, it will start falling off again. Those carb demons are hard though! Even if you don't lose any more, it will help you maintain your loss.
