Question:
6 months post and started having mid-abdominal pain...
In the past few days, I've been experiencing a dull ache in my mid abdomen (between my rib cage and belly button). I started taking Natachews that were Rx'd at my 6 mo check up (2 weeks ago). Could the Natachews be bothering my pouch? Or is it possible I am experiencing some gull bladder pain? It's bearable, but annoying and is keeping me from eating much. — Cathy C (posted on April 28, 2004)

Well, it's hard to say based on your description. Gallstones can take on
many different forms of pain. My pain was centered in my stomach under my
ribcage and about the size of a fist. Most people feel it on the right
side or radiating around the back as well. I only had attacks after eating
as I think most do. I would definitely follow up with your doctor. He/she
can better determine if this is gallstones or something else. Good luck!

Are you taking anything for your stomach to prevent ulcers? Nexium,
protonix, prilosec etc. Call your surgeon.
