Question:
Anyone had experience with Humana HMO and Reconstructive Surgery?

Upcoming consult with PS and would like to know my chances before I go in of Humana HMO approval. Call to their customer service did not help much. Thanks for all of the help through this site!    — Laura B. (posted on February 9, 2004)

I, too have an upcoming PS consult with Humana HMO. I know of several people locally who have gotten approval when it was deamed medically necessary. Unforturnately, I think it depends on individual policies. A co-worker of my DH had reconstructive surgery after weight loss so I am hopeful since we have the exact same policy. I'm seeing the same PS. Good luck with your consult.
