It is your tail bone. As you have lost weight, the fat tissue that was
cushioning your rectum has disappeared.
My doctor told me scar tissue would eventually start acting as a cushion
and the pain would lesson. It still hurts alittle, and it is getting better
with time.

I am experiencing the same thing! Im 3 weeks out yesterday, and for the
past week my rear has hurt so bad. Mine isnt through my rectum, its more on
the right cheek. But boy every time I move that baby hurts! I though it was
a syatic nerve...usually goes away in 2 weeks. Ibuprophen really helped
me. The previous poster could have a point with the fat being gone....but
at 3 weeks out I still have a nice cushion there LOL Good luck to you!

You might have your doc take a look, You could have a hemmorhoid if you are
having pain in your rectum

It sounds like it could be a rectal spasm. It may not be related to your
surgery. I have had them off and on for several years and the pain can
bring tears to your eyes. The pain lasts about 20-30 minutes and then goes
away. If this continues, I would check with your physician.

I had the came thing! It was like my colon hurt or something! Sharp pains
when I ate! My doctor said that my body had depleted its minerals and I
have to supplement with mineral drops several times a day to restore them.
After the first day of following my doc's orders I did not have any more
episodes... Thank Goodness!
