Question:
Looking into having a revision done in the upcoming months and wanted some input as
to what to expect. I'm an open rny patient and my pouch is going to be made smaller. My doctor is also going to remove extra skin from my abdomen. I would also like to hear from anyone in the Washington D.C. area who has NCAS/NCPPO insurance. Thanks in advance — Michelle H. (posted on January 15, 2004)

Hi Michelle,
Just wondering-what exactly is your surgeon going to do to make your pouch
smaller? I thought this could not be done, that in a rny revision only
more intestine could be bypassed and the pouch is left alone. I have a
friend who is 2.5 yrs postop rny, not at goal and stalled for many months
and was wondering if there was such a thing as getting your pouch made
smaller. So what is the procedure exactly??
