Question:
Anyone know of support groups in the Cincinnati,OH area?
I am already aware of the one at Christ Hospital. I wanted to try somewhere else. — Heather W. (posted on January 14, 2004)

Hi! Check out this website: www.imnotfatanymore.com . It's a board run
by Sandy Pierce, founder of the support group by the same name. It meets
in the Beechmont/Eastgate area and seems to be full of the best, most
supportive people! Good luck!!

There is also a support group that meets in West Chester at the UC
Physicians and Surgeons building at University Point. I believe it's once
a month, on Thursday at 6:30PM. Can't remember which Thursday. I haven't
been able to make them recently, although the ones I've been to are very
good. Trying to get from Clifton to West Chester when I get off work at
5:00PM is awful! E-mail me if you want more info and I'll find out.

Here's the web site of a GREAT group in Cincinnati. I drive from Dayton to
go to there meetings. I have learned more from them than my doctors support
group. http://www.butterflylosers.org/index.htm
Hope to see you at Friday's meeting.

There is also a group in Northern KY, started by Dr. Smith's group but we
have many members that had thier surgery elsewhere. It just met last
night, the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm. We meet at the Silver
Lake recreation Center in Erlanger, KY. You can email me or go to Dr.
Smiths web page (I can't get the address right now, but you can get it off
my profile) to get more information and directions.
