Question:
Pain NOT in pouch area, in center of stomache w/freq BM

Ok, this is what I am experiencing, and it is starting to make me worry. I am 4 & 1/2 months out lap RNY, started at 364 now at 271. I havent really had any problems, I did have the scope done at 1.5mo out, but there was no stricture, just eating to fast & to big of bites. OK, now for the last 3 weeks I have had the following problems: EVERY SOLID bite of food I take gives me moderate but uncomfortable pain in my pouch, but slowly goes away. I have had VERY VERY loose & very very frequent (4-8 times per day) BM since this started 3 wks ago. I had 2 periods this month(heavy flow) and I am experiencing pain right in the middle of my stomach. I feel like I am going to be "sick" and sometimes throw up mucus. I drink plenty of water, have my proteins at a perfect amt, no sugar, very little fat/grease, low carbs, and I eat plenty of fruits & veggies. Meat has always been a little ruff for me, but I had begun to eat it daily w/little prob. NOW, any bite I take hurts, and I am really starting to get worried. I am averaging 3-5lbs per week. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any ideas on what it could be? I hate to call my surgeon for every little fart in the wind.....HELP!! THANKS & much love,    — Leslie N. Sorry to hear about your trouble. The first thing I thought about since you mentioned pain in the middle, is gallbladder problems. this is where my pain was before having it out. I've not yet had my weight loss surgery, so just a guess.. Hope you get it resolved . Good Luck.

When in doubt, always ask the doctor. My paperwork from the dietician doesn't allow me to have red meat until 6 months out. Until you talk to the doc, try going back on liquids/pureeds and give your pouch time to heal. Hope the best for you.
