Question:
I really don't eat much and I am worried that I won't lose much weight.

That sounds exactly what I said!!! I never ate that much and was still
heavy. But, I had WLS on June 12, 2002 and have gone from 269 pounds to
133 pounds, so it works! I eat even less of course, but I think it just
made it a little easier to get used to for me. Some post-ops have a really
difficult time in the beginning if they were used to eating really large
portions.

You won't be able to eat much of anything at all post op, except broth and
then you work your way up from 25 calories a day for the first few months.
You may lose slower or faster than other, but it is almost a given that you
will lose in the first 6 months to a year. I never ate that much pre-op,
and what I did eat was good things, brown rice, veggies, no sugar, etc, and
I still didn't lose the pounds, and this surgery has changed all that for
me.

You will be surprised at how much you actually do eat now. I didn't think
I ate all that much pre-op either...until I couldn't eat it anymore. I was
shocked.
