I think you are doing very well, better than I. I am 3 1/2 weeks post RNY
and I have just barely lost 19 lbs. I started at 232 lbs. Keep up the
great work.

I was 261 at pre-op weigh-in on 12-4. 251 morning of surgery 12-8 (this is
after bowel prep). And will be 2 weeks post-op tomorrow and now weigh 240.

My surgery date for open RNY was 12/9 where I weighed in at the hospital at
311.5...today on 12/21, 12 days post op, I weighed in at 296.5 (15 lbs
down) Renee

Renee,
I went in 12/8 at 322, and today - 12/21/03 I am 300. I think we are doing
GREAT!!!! I am expecting the weight loss to drop off dramatically this
week. I have been "upgraded" to cream of wheat and cream soups,
and I think my Doc will add cottage cheese and scrambled eggs on Tuesday. I
want to add more protein, I want and need the energy boost from it, but I
know there will be a trade off. We can not weigh our loss against anyone
else, so focus on YOU!!! Drink your water, I figure as long as I am peeing,
I am losing!!!
Keep up the great work!
Rhonda

Natalie -- Congratulations on your recent surgery. I hope you are feeling
well. One bit of advice from a 14 month post-op RNY -- don't worry how
everyone else is doing. Everyone will lose their weight differently. If you
are honestly following the guidelines your surgeon set for you, then you
are doing great. I think that I am doing much better not having gotten to
goal yet, but having made physical activity and healthier food choices part
of my daily routine than my friend who didn't have to work hard, got to
goal at 8 months, but now struggles with regain. Good luck to you!
