Are there any bariatric doctors that take Medicare in the N. California area

Dr. Mary Estakhri, in Pleasanton, does. At the time of my WLS (6/21/01) I had a Medicare HMO and she accepted it. Then on 2/13/03 I had a bowel obstruction and only had Medicare and she did that surgery too, and took Medicare. She is an exceptional Dr., in my opinion has given me life once, and saved it another time. They have a great Bariatric program too. Her phone number is 925-460-9000. Good Luck to you! I have medicare and I live in Northern California and I had my surgery done in Reno Nevada by Dr. Watson at the Western Surgical Group. They have AWSOME doctors there and the staff is wonderful. I wish you the best of luck.
