Question:
I feel as if I have a lump in my throat

I feel like I have a lump in my throat at the back of my mouth. I do not overeat and sometimes I notice it even while I have not eaten. Has anyone else had this?    — Trin2rilax Cheryl McCoy (posted on December 6, 2003)

Hi, could be the type of food you are eating or you pushed your limit of how much you ate. I had tried roasted potatoes that did it as did turkey. Also, rough veggies not cooked enough or raw can do that also.

I had a constant lump in my thoat along with an almost foamy feeling for about the first 6 weeks after surgery. It did not matter what I ate or drank then it just went away and I have not had either since. I never got sick from it it was just very annoying. The doctor said some people get that feeling in the beginning but it usually goes away quickly.
